OVERVIEW

Established in 2008, Current Ways has been designing and manufacturing in the USA, ruggedized high-voltage electric vehicle battery chargers for the fast growing electric vehicle market. Current Ways is a spin-off of LHV Power Corp., which has been a leading provider of Low and High Voltage Power Supplies for over 20 years. Utilizing LHV Power’s extensive experience in high voltage power management systems and design, our engineering team has developed a high voltage charging system that is compatible to most all BMS and battery chemistries. Current Ways has a global presence with long established relationships with high volume manufacturing facilities in the Far East for cost reduction and rapid growth to meet the global demand.

OUR MARKETS:

Electric Vehicles – Both OEM and Conversion shops building PEV (Plug-In Electric Vehicles) or PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles)

Electric Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks and Vans – Trucks typically need higher voltage charging. The Current Ways Charger can be paralleled to reduce the charge time 6kW, 9kW, up to 60kW depending on the charge requirements. 2 chargers can be put in series to charge up to a 900Vdc battery pack

Energy Storage Systems – Large cells of batteries are charged via solar panels and/or wind turbines. The Current Ways charger monitors and charges the batteries to keep them at their peak performance.

Vehicle Charging Stations – Electric Vehicle remote charging is an important step to the EV infrastructure. Current Ways will support the industry by supplying AC/DC Chargers for integration into Level 3 DC charge stations

TESTIMONIAL

“We tested the Current Way CA10H03 Air-Cooled Charger to the specifications that were provided and it passed beyond the specifications. The charger was tested in a vehicle for a full 8 hour charge and charged the high voltage battery from 10% SOC to 100% SOC as requested. We also did some additional testing to ensure the charger would protect itself in various fault modes. One fault mode in particular was impressive. We simulated a situation in which the fans would be obstructed and the charger derated the output current as expected, but it still provided an output current in a safe amount that allowed the charger to not overheat yet charge the high voltage battery. The battery was still able to fully charge at a slower rate. The GUI interface for the charger allowed for ease of integration into the vehicle, making software development timeless. The GUI interface is also allowing us to use the charger as an off board charger solution for our high voltage batteries. The customer support is wonderful and the response time extremely quick and they are available whenever you need them.”
